The curing time of two-component condensation RTV release agent mainly depends on the type, amount of catalyst and temperature. The more the amount of catalyst, the faster the vulcanization, and the shorter the shelving time. At room temperature, the shelf time is usually a few hours, if you want to extend the shelf time of rubber, you can use cooling method.

It takes about one day for the two-component condensation RTV silicone rafter to reach complete curing at room temperature, but only one hour at 150 ℃. The curing rate can be significantly increased by using accelerants to carry out synergistic effect. Silicone oil is a kind of polyorganosiloxane with different degree of polymerization. The most commonly used silicone oil is Shenji silicone oil. Silicone oil is generally colorless (or light yellow), tasteless, non-toxic, volatile liquid. Silicone oil is insoluble in water, methanol, diol and - brightener oxy brightener alcohol. It is miscible with benzene, dimethyl ether, methyl brightener ketone, carbon tetrachloride or kerosene, and slightly soluble in acetone, dioxane, brightener alcohol and alcohol. It has low vapor pressure, high flash point and ignition point, and low freezing point.

According to the chemical structure, silicone oil can be divided into methyl silicone oil, brightener based silicone oil, phenyl silicone oil, methyl hydrogen silicone oil, methyl phenyl silicone oil, methyl chlorophenyl silicone oil, methyl brightener oxygen silicone oil, methyl trifluoropyl silicone oil, methyl brightener vinyl silicone oil, methyl hydroxyl silicone oil, brightener based hydrogen containing silicone oil, hydroxyl hydrogen containing silicone oil, cyanogen containing silicone oil, etc There are damping silicone oil, diffusion pump silicone oil, hydraulic oil, insulating oil, heat transfer oil, brake oil, etc. Silicone oil has excellent heat resistance, electrical insulation, weather resistance, hydrophobicity, physiological inertia and small surface tension. In addition, it has low viscosity temperature coefficient, high compression resistance, and some varieties also have radiation resistance. The two-component addition molding room temperature vulcanizing demoulding agent has elastic silica gel and demoulding agent. The former has lower strength and the latter has higher strength.

Their vulcanization mechanism is based on the addition reaction (hydrosilylation) of the brightener alkenyl (or propenyl) on the end group of the silicone rubber and the hydrosilylation of the crosslinking agent. In this reaction, no by-products are released. Because low molecular weight compounds are not released during the crosslinking process, the addition RTV release agent does not shrink during the curing process. This kind of vulcanizate is nontoxic, high mechanical strength, excellent hydrolytic stability (even under high-pressure steam), good low-pressure shrinkage deformation, low flammability, deep vulcanization, and the curing speed can be controlled by temperature. Therefore, it is a kind of release agent developed vigorously at home and abroad.

The packaging method is generally divided into two components a and B: catalyst as one component and crosslinking agent as another. High strength RTV release agent is a good material for mold making due to its low linear shrinkage and low molecular weight during vulcanization. In the mechanical industry, it has been widely used in mold making to cast epoxy resin, polyester resin, polyurethane, polyphenylene brightener olefin, brightener vinyl plastic, paraffin, low melting point alloy, coagulation, etc. The two-component RTV mold release agent can keep elasticity in the temperature range of 65-250 ℃ for a long time. It has excellent electrical properties and chemical stability. It can resist water, ozone and weather aging. In addition, it is simple to use and has strong applicability. Therefore, it is widely used as pouring and molding materials. All kinds of electronic and electrical components are coated and sealed with RTV release agent, which can protect against moisture (corrosion, shock, etc.). It can improve performance and stabilize parameters. The two-component RTV mold release agent is especially suitable for deep-seated potting materials and has a faster curing time, which is better than the single-component RTV release agent. The two-component RTV release agent has excellent anti adhesion property after vulcanization, and its shrinkage rate is very small during vulcanization. Therefore, it is suitable for making soft molds and casting moulds for epoxy resin, polyester resin, polyphenylene brightener ene, polyurethane, brightener vinyl plastics, paraffin wax, low melting point alloy, etc. In addition, the high simulation performance of the two-component RTV release agent can be used to reproduce various exquisite patterns on cultural relics. Attention should be paid to the use of two-component RTV release agent: firstly, weigh the rubber and catalyst respectively, and then mix them in proportion. The mixing process should be carefully operated to minimize the entrained air volume. After the rubber mixture is evenly mixed (the color is uniform), the bubbles can be removed by standing or decompression (vacuum 700 mm Hg). After all the bubbles are discharged, they are placed at room temperature or at the specified temperature for a certain time.
